Breakfast and a Bike Ride
Treat yourself to breakfast at the grand old Ahwahnee dining room. A 34-foot-high beamed ceiling, towering windows, granite pillars, and white tablecloths define the Ahwahnee's down-to-earth elegance. Cut your bill in half by ordering from the hearty à la carte menu instead of the buffet. Afterward, rent a bike from Curry Village and make a farewell tour around the valley floor. The cushy cruisers are perfect for pedaling a 10-mile counterclockwise loop—although craning up at all the spectacular waterfalls can become a pain in the neck, literally. Be sure to veer off to Mirror Lake. Located under the shadow of Half Dome, this seasonal oasis is at its most reflective in the spring. Next, cruise on to Yosemite Falls and walk ten minutes to its booming Lower Fall. Finish the loop by rolling past expansive green meadows and across Swinging Bridge.
Bike rentals start at $9.50 by the hour or $25.50 for the day. A bike map is included with your rental.
