Attention animal lovers! You've seen countless YouTube videos of puppy-like piglets hamming it up for an adorable belly rub, but have you ever met one in person? Time for a visit to Farm Sanctuary in Acton. Located about an hour from downtown Los Angeles, this 26-acre sanctuary is one of three across the United States that shelters animals who have been rescued from the factory farming industry.

Take the one-hour guided tour, where you can meet the animals, hear their inspiring stories, and learn more about the modern farming system that is responsible for 99 percent of America's meat and dairy production. Meet pigs who love a good belly rub as they stretch out and bask in the cool dirt. Snuggle with the sheep who are just as excited to see you. Snap a #felfie (that's a farm-selfie, for the uninitiated) with goats who are pros at posing. After the tour, visit the gift shop and pick up a shirt or mug to show your support for your newfound animal friends.
