What to do when the temperature drops? Heat things up! Sierra Hot Springs in Sierraville is just the place. Open 24 hours, the property sits on the edge of a golden meadow and 700 acres of National Forest land. Starting at $15 per person for a 3-hour soak, choose between the Temple Dome Area and the Meditation Pool. The Temple Dome Area sizzles with a 105- to 110-degree hot pool and two cold plunge baths inside an impressive geodesic dome. Outside the dome is a pool deck with lounge chairs surrounding a 98- to 100-degree Warm Pool, and a dry sauna. For those who want to replicate the found-in-nature hot springs experience, the 98- to 100-degree Meditation Pool is surrounded by pine trees, and its faux-rock tub is complete with a sandy bottom. Sierra Hot Springs also offers massage and lodging (complete with private 85- to 90-degree seasonal Phoenix baths in some rooms!) as well as camping options. Now that's how to have a Sierra spa day!

TIP: Thinking about grabbing something to eat? The Sierra Hot Springs is also home to Philosophy Café, serving up delicious organic dinners from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday through Monday.
